About Us
The Visual Arts Guild of Frisco is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting the visual arts and educating the public. Founded in 2001, VAGF has grown to become a vital part of the local arts community. Each year we host numerous art exhibits, workshops and educational lectures for our members and the public.
Our Members
Our members include professional artists, hobbyists, students, art historians, designers, collectors, and art lovers. The Visual Arts Guild of Frisco provides a peer network for both established and emerging artists. We organize multiple member shows each year, providing local artists the opportunity to showcase their work. We also have visiting artist lectures, networking groups, critique circles and workshops to help each artist advance their knowledge and connections within the art community. Our Community
The Visual Arts Guild of Frisco is very involved in serving and enriching our community. Our exhibits, which are free and open to the public, provide quality art-viewing experiences for our citizens, right in their hometown. We hold workshops throughout the year at affordable prices, taught by skilled artists. The Guild works closely with local schools to promote the visual arts and to supplement the arts curriculum. We also collaborate with other non-profit groups to serve our community.
Meetings
The Visual Arts Guild of Frisco holds monthly membership meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Our meetings are open to the public, and we invite everyone to attend. Events and meetings are held in varying locations throughout the community, but primarily at Frisco Arts Center, 6827 Main Street , Frisco , TX 75034 , in historic downtown. Please see our Upcoming Events for monthly meeting locations.
Funding
Funding for programs and events is provided through membership dues, commissions from art sales, donations, sponsorships and grants, including annual grants from the Frisco Association for the Arts.
